Lower velocity, increased mass, increased acceleration equals higher force ..... than higher velocity, less mass and lower acceleration rates.

The era of great ball striking understood this concept as advantageous to gain control of the golf ball.

The reason being... is that.... the higher force applied to the strike dramatically increases the feel put into a players hands because that is the sensory location of the opposing forces that are being applied through impact and to the golf ball. Golf is a game of feel, and to properly control the golf ball consistently.... feel becomes the lifeblood of any top shelf ball striker.

High velocities with less mass and lower acceleration rates which is the craze in the modern age is not producing the next great ball striker... and certainly making golf much more difficult for the higher handicapper if they are playing a proper golf course that requires accuracy first and foremost (Tighter fairways with smaller greens)

The battering ram into the door reminds me of an image about a door a pro from long ago used while showing how to hit into a firm left side- which can be done with or without retaining some lead knee flex- but the latter was more a snapping of the just the club head into the door, and the more powerful former was plowing through the door by bringing the entire shaft length flush to, and against, the door.

Something like this great look if you can imagine where the door is.
