P3 - P4Re: P3 - P4Hey Hogan was human. There are many examples of his swing on film, and some are better than others. Also, he hit all kinds of shots. He wasn't worrying about how bent his right arm was at impact.

Re: P3 - P4
I firmly believe the body tends to pick up the beat when you slot the club into P3 properly. I've found my drill 3 fires automatically when proper pressures/leverages are forcing my body to get out of the way. It comes with a ton of hard work and constant advanced maintenance, but I'd take this over trying to find it week to week. Back to Hogan being human...although it is true, he built a biomechanics machine that fired on it's own. I think what we all find amazing is how beautiful Hogan's swing was from every angle. Even his worst swings have an artistic beauty and harmony that is quite puzzling. I love these GIFs, sometimes I learn a lot from them. Plus, it's fun to theorize the how/why...IMHO. Quest for perfection I guess... "People have always been telling me what I can't do. I guess I have wanted to show them. That's been one of my driving forces all my life." -Ben Hogan

NICE! "People have always been telling me what I can't do. I guess I have wanted to show them. That's been one of my driving forces all my life." -Ben Hogan
Re: P3 - P4The purpose of this post is twofold. One, I wanted to try to embed vimeo. Two, I think this vid is interesting. Obviously you can apply the torques as he suggests for non- ABS'ers. I thought I would try to use them from P3 to P4 using the ABS framework and see what happens...I like the early results. Surprisingly the positive gamma brings the handle/hands nicely inside to the left.

Re: P3 - P4You can do whatever you like in your stroke pattern as long as you understand what you are doing and the results are predictable.
Re: P3 - P4
Very good Thank you I meant to say Beta instead of Gamma "The secret is on the deck"
Re: P3 - P4
What? The results have to be predictable? I have to understand what I'm am doing? I have a long way to go, lol....
Re: P3 - P4Nice NRG!
Here is what seems like a good verbal description of Lee's thoughts. I like Lee, he WAS the original Range Rat. You're ahead of where you were, and behind where you're going.
Re: P3 - P4Last round I played I had some draw in the ball. Hooked one the previous round, too. Clearly not knowing what's going on from P3- P4.
At least I put that 4-wood draw to use on one hole and got a rare green in regulation. McGee
