Event formerly known as "The Masters"

I haven't watched the Augusta Invitational in several years. This year Sunday landed on my mother's birthday and the guests at her party had "The Augusta Invitational on the tube.

I was quickly reminded why I don't watch the event anymore.

Let me get this straight. These are supposed to be the best players the game has to offer.
The winner finishes with bogies on 3 of the last four holes with 3 wedges and an 8 iron in his hand. (15th he had the option to lay up and play a wedge)
Misses the final green with a wedge from 115 yards.

The closest competitor makes triple bogey on 16 to insure the bogey, bogey, par, bogey finish wins the event.

It felt like I was watching a division ll college event at best.

The Classic game was much more interesting, exciting, articulate and inspiring.
